Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 28, 2026
AI Guide (“we”, “our”, “the site”) is built to help you find the right AI tool for any task. We respect your privacy. This page explains what we do and don't collect, and why.
What we collect
We use a single anonymous session identifier stored in your browser's local storage. This identifier is a randomly generated string with no connection to your name, email, IP address, or any personal information.
We use this identifier to:
- Count unique visitors
- Understand which task pages people find useful
- Improve recommendations over time based on aggregate behavior
We log the following events anonymously: page views, search queries, button clicks (copy prompt, outbound link, ratings), and time on page. Each event is associated only with your anonymous session ID and the page or action involved.
What we don't collect
- We don't use cookies
- We don't collect IP addresses or store them
- We don't track you across other websites
- We don't sell or share data with third parties
- We don't use analytics services that track users individually
Outbound links
When you click a link to an external AI tool (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney), you leave AI Guide and the linked site's privacy policy applies. We don't control or monitor what happens after you click.
In the future, some outbound links may be affiliate links. If we implement these, we will mark them clearly and update this policy.
Your control
You can clear your session identifier at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. This deletes our only association between you and your past visits.
Children
AI Guide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated via a homepage banner.
